Recognised expert with two decades of achievement of excellence in research as evidenced by 100+ publications and 10 years’ senior leadership experience. Recognised Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Fellow of The RSA (Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce). Fellowship of The RSA is awarded to those who demonstrate significant contributions to social change, and who support the mission of The RSA. I have served as Chair of the Steering Group for Cradle to Career (C2C) yielded policy changes in UK local authority multidisciplinary teams and education, where we made significant gains in child literacy as well as stepping down the level of support needed for families with experience of social care.
I’ve been successful in attracting funding for evidence-based research on social problems such as violence prevention by developing a wide net of research collaborations across the UK and multiple countries, across different agencies, and by targeting a wide variety of stakeholders (university business strategies, local authority, government health and security agencies, NGOs, charities, community centres, and private sector).
